An international school for young Fashion Talents: Accademia Italiana inaugurates its new Rome campus

Among Guests of Honor and Special Guests, graphic installations, an exhibition of students’ works and musical performances, the big opening will take place in the new Rome headquarters of the Accademia Italiana international school of fashion and costume design.


The Accademia Italiana inaugurates its new headquarters in Rome. The event will be held on 20th October 2010, 6:30pm, at the Accademia Italiana, Piazza della Radio 46, Rome.

The Accademia Italiana is an international school of fashion and costume design that has been a leading European reference point for artistic and professional training at degree level for over 25 years.

Beginning September 2010, a new Bachelor's Degree program in Fashion Design has been activated in the new school premises, while the Bachelor's Degree program in Costume Design continues to be a ‘must' as it goes into its 6th year.

Among the many interesting developments taking place at the school, there is the activation of the 3-year Bachelor's Degree program in Jewellery Design, scheduled to begin in the next academic year.

Interesting graphic installations, an exhibition of students' works and musical performances will frame the event.

Guest of Honor, Princess Claudia Ruspoli, will inaugurate the event and address the students with a speech of encouragement to pursue their creative talent.

Other special guests will also be present to join in the inauguration:
Gianni Quaranta - Oscar winner for Set Design, famous in the world of cinema and television; Lorenzo Faherty, Nora Venturini, Vice President of ‘Alta Roma' Sandro Di Castro, Marina Pignatelli as well as other leading political, cultural and showbiz celebrities of the city, including Alessandro Gassman, Alessandro Preziosi, Prince Carlo Giovannelli, Danny Quinn, Irene Bignardi, Mara Venier and many others.
